Garden of Mor taken of the shelves---Skullvane Manse delayed!! Wots going on then?? Lot of talk about it over on Warseer--they reckon it's either an IP issue or dangerous spiky bits not conforming to EU rules.

Anybody heard anything?

Strange indeed. Still listed on GW website but listed as "No Longer Available" with no button for adding it to a shopping cart.

As for the specifics, I can't imagine that it has anything to do with spikeyness. Several other kits have an absurd amount of spikes and even contained as smaller bits and thus easier for children to mishandle. I also doubt it's an IP issue.

Spiky issue would make no sense as it is manufactured in the USA and not in the EU so why pull it form US web store and I see nothing indicating that Skullvane is delayed I spoke to rep Friday and said the 19th.

You could always try emailing GW customer service and asking them, instead of just speculating.:)

On GW's website---'whats new today'---

"On a product-related note, many of you will have noticed in White Dwarf that we were due to release the Middenland Tufts, Mordheim Turf and Skullvane Manse on the 19th November. Sadly our crack team of Warhammer horticulturalists haven't managed to harvest enough turf as yet and we're still waiting for it to arrive in the warehouse. As such, the Turf and Tufts will go on advance order on the 3rd December, and will be available to buy in our Hobby Centres on the 10th. Meanwhile, the release of Skullvane Manse has been slightly delayed due to a misalignment of the stars. A local wizard is currently investigating the phenomenon, but he believes that the kit will be on sale within the next few weeks. As soon as we know more information we'll let you know here on the blog."

So--It was right enough--ah well, lots more out there to spend me dosh on!!

Now hears a strange thing given Games Workshops independent trader policy---
On Monday evening I placed an order online, with a well known trader, (I'm not going to say which one for obvious reasons), for Skullvane Manse. This is now on GE's website as 'Available on 3rd December.

Got an e-mail from the company last night saying it had been despatched---Wot!

Nice surprise but I'm now wondering how they can sell it before GW. Any ideas?

Ok, after my last post---This morning I received a parcel.Now---As it was a Xmas pressie from she who must be obeyed, I can't actually open the box yet however---As it was me who answered the door and saw the address label, I, by accident, (cough-cough), gave the box a shake. It would seem from the answering clatter of large lumps of plastic, that the parts on this one are on sprues unlike Witchfate Tor where the parts were separated and in plastic bags. Possibly as a result of this the box is much deeper. It's the same length and breadth but around 6 inches deep. I know this 'cos I persuaded SWMBO to open the cardboard box and check how much packing was in it.
So, there we are--I've got the beast but I can't touch it till Xmas--bugger!!

Well GW may send out retailer stocks early and some of those may have shipped orders to try and get them to their customers by the proper date. I mean my Skullvane Manse and Blood in the Badlands order was just shipped today and should be here tomorrow or monday depending on the post, no sooner than yours if you are in the UK.:)
