Check out the last of my Nercon Posts over at Spikey
Welcome back to another polite rant/ clarification about a topic I feel very strongly about, the Necron Leak by Beast of War.
First of all I wanted to clear up several serious points that were bugging me. I do not think the leak was a bad thing for the hobby, personally I enjoyed seeing the photos and can not wait for them to hit in a few short weeks.

I'll be honest, I found your first rant on this subject kind of stupid and pointless.
But this:
"First off Warren I am a stupid American. I have no idea WTF 10pm BST (GMT+1) means. Is that East Coast or West Coast time?"
...really takes the cake for me. Like...wow.
Why the hell would someone in the UK give a time with reference to a North American time zone? The world doesn't revolve around those of us on this side of the pond. You seriously couldn't just look it up to see when that would be like a normal person? Or like anyone else in the world surely has to do time and again when US-centric media gives times for time zones that people outside the US/Canada aren't familiar with?

And what's with demanding them to explain their financing?

Pathetic MBG.
Just another pathetic attempt to garner some attention for your own business.
"...the issue at hand on here is not GW's new release policy, it's the blatant attention grab by Beasts of War at the expense of every retailer in the world."
If you can't handle another company being smart with their marketing, then you're not cut for the entrepreneurs life. You might as well give up and close shop now cuz crying and whining about this and thinking that we care is pointless.
If anything, this has turned me off from buying anything from you and your store.
Next time, instead of spending your time and energy talking trash and crying like a baby cuz someone beat you to the punch, you should spend that time and energy trying to come up with smart ways to market your business.

Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) was adopted as the world’s time standard at the Washington Meridian Conference in 1884. This conference also established Universal Time, from which the international 24-hour time-zone system grew. This is why all time zones refer back to GMT on the prime meridian. The prime meridian at Greenwich, in the United Kingdom, has served as the reference line for GMT since the late 19th century.
The prime meridian was defined by the position of the large “Transit Circle” telescope in the Observatory’s Meridian Building in 1884. The cross-hairs in the Transit Circle’s eyepiece precisely defined longitude 0° for the world. The earth’s crust is moving very slightly all the time so the prime meridian’s exact position is now moving very slightly too. However, the original reference for the world’s prime meridian is still the Airy Transit Circle in the Royal Observatory in the United Kingdom.
GMT was at first calculated by the 24-hour clock starting at noon. However, since 1925, the day of GMT starts at midnight. GMT was later renamed to Universal Time, or UT. It is also known as UT0. It becomes UT1 when it is corrected for the irregular movements of the terrestrial poles, also known as the Chandler wobble. The earth’s poles do not spin perfectly in a straight line.
Here you go, :)
As for Necrons, I like the art work lots, as for buying new toys, well GW for me because they ship so much faster than anyone.

Yeah, that post is seriously disappointing MBG. It's seems petty and vindictive to complain about another web site that managed to grab attention away from yours, but starting to rant about how they are funded and flaunting the fact that you can't convert a time zone? Seriously disappointing.
You're a business owner. Stop whining and just figure out a better way to drive traffic to your site.

@ Spiky Bits: Seriously, the sooner you learn to shut up the better it'll be for the internet. That article is a pure attack at Beasts of War, and really reeks of pure childishness.

It was a joke, at my own expense actually. Im sorry if it offended anyone lol.
The fact of the matter remains, as I explained in my post. BoW by leaking the info they did
1. Stole from every retailer in the world
2. gave unfair advantage to a single retailer at the expense of all others.
I'm sorry but I'm not going to get into it anymore. I've explained it many times over on my blog, and some people just won't get it.
If you do get the point I am trying to make great, if not well no biggie.

So your argument is that they did what they get paid to do, those sneaky buggers.
I mean come on mate they're a wargaminh news and review site how do you THINK they male money? By being paid to release news and advertising, should we get angry at newspapers for giving unfair retail advantage to companies that advertise in them? How about tv?.....sod off mate your point is as bad as you humour

I personally really like the Beasts of Wars boys, I like the site, I like the videos and I love the fact the managed to get some sneaky peaks of my favourite 40k race. I am a backstage member and the 3 colours up painting guides have help me improve my painting.
I fail to see how the necron leaks were managed will have any detrimental effect on the hobby, I just don't get your points of view on that.
Sorry MBG you failed big time here mate.

If those are your main points then you should be far more upset with Wayland for taking preorders. You've got a much more legit complaint there. Pinning blame on BoW is seriously misplaced.
