Well here it is. I base coated this model in black. Dry brushed it with Boltgun metal then Scarab red. Washed the whole thing with Devlan Mud. I highlighted all the leading edges with Blood Red and did a final highlight with Blazing Orange. Finally washed all the rivets with Devlan Mud.

Did a Astronomicon Grey on the horns with Bleached Bone then Skull White on the tips. Washed that with Gryphonne Sepia.

The Ork Insignias were done with Iyanden Darksun as a base and then two thin coats of Sunburst Yellow. I washed each insignia with Gryphonne Sepia.

The battle damaged wires were picked out in a variety of colors then given a wash of Devlan Mud

I dry brushed all the scorched areas with Black (the JATO and Tau Engine Inlets)

This project began as a Me262 model, a Tau Piranha, Eldar Sheriken Cannon, various Ork bits and a crap ton of plastic card.

So after all that below is the finished Fighta. I named it the Warthog after its resemblance to a modern A-10 Warthog. Tell me what you think.

Overall I am very pleased with how this Ork Fighta turned out. I am inspired to make a pilot and a data sheet for the Warthog now. Maybe even make up a back story.

Thanks.

This is a great work. I like the tusks on the nose of the plane.

Oh nice! This is a top notch conversion. I thought it was from forgeworld until you mentioned how you constructed it. Get out there an bom some humies.

Very cool. It seems that the pilot took out some sort of flying critter to get those tusks.
