New White Dwarf Subscription model, Long John Grombrindal and friend

This is the new White Dwarf model, an exclusive Citadel Finecast miniature that is only available to those of you that have a White Dwarf Subscription. The model will be available to existing subscribers from the 29th October, and new subscribers can get their hands on him as soon as they start their White Dwarf subscription. As you can see from the picture above, it is a rather tasty model, lovingly sculpted by Giorgio Bassani. In previous years, Grombrindal (for that is his name) has taken on the guise of a Dwarf Warrior, a Space Adventurer, an Aviator and now, a swashbuckling Pirate.

I have never bothered with any of the WD models before, but I quite like this one and I might actually pick him up.

I don't like it much, but I've never greatly cared for the White Dwarf models.

I like the base :)
I also like the sculpt, its face is very similar to the new ogre kingdoms, savage orcs, hell most of the new WFB sculpts in that it seems more angular and somewhat realistic. When the Dwarfs do get an update I would like to see this more real, less comedic style.

A pirate white dwarf wasn't enough, he had to have a parrot... a parrot with a pirate hat too.

I love this model! I wish I picked up the model with the propeller when I had the chance.
