In my quest for original new counts as armies, here is another mini-dex for your consideration. No new rules just some sample units and how they could be used as assassins. It's based again on the fantastically flexible grey knight henchmen list, and inspired by the Nemesis Horus Heresy book where the assassins take to the battlefield together.

Officio assassanorum training corps: The all assassin army "Advanced thermoptic cameleoline suits are the new black"

It should be small (my target 1,500 py list is around 30) and minimise large squads, a couple of transports is OK just for practicality. Otherwise it's likely to melt like butter under a blowtorch.

HQ:

Coteaz (counts as Officio training master or maybe the Culexus assassin)

Ordo Xenos inquisitor w/ Rad & Psychotroke grenades (counts as Vanenum [poison] assassin)

Ordo Xenos inquisitor w/ conversion beamer (Vindicare apprentice)

Elites: [take 3]

Culexus assassin

Vindicare assassin

Callidus assassin

Eversor assassin

Troops:

Death cults (callidus apprentices)

Arco flagellants (eversor apprentices)

Mystics (Vanus [info/hackers] apprentices)

Jokaero (Vinidcare apprentices w/ lascannons & BS3:confused:[obviously they're not very good yet])

Servitors (Vanus drones)

Psykers (Culexus apprentices)

Crusaders (Officio overseers)

Acolytes (Officio assistants)

Vehicles

Rhino/Razorback/Chimera/Land raider: Officio monitoring vehicles

Storm Raven: Officio drop ship

Dreadnoughts/Dreadknights: (Vanus constructs [controlled like titans with a direct link to the Vanus' brain])

The HH series has armies of Assassins? I need to stop procrastinating and catch up on my reading assignments

I like the idea, very creative use of what you have to achieve the vision. And very killy of course :D

You haven't read Nemesis yet?! Good lord man, what are you waiting for? It's easily one of the best books of the series.

Think strikeforce, as opposed to armies. That's all I will say.
