So today I picked up Dreadfleet and played my first game with the store copy.
There are several good points and a couple of difficult points.

Overall the game is very fun, requires tactics and is a good spectacle to watch. Admitedly when we have 10 players it got a big long, but that may have been because we didnt have a strong grasp of the rules, since the staff were so busy painting and making the models before hand they didnt get chance to play.

We were playing you move i move you shoot I shoot and combat, instead of that ship moves shoots and assaults this ship moves shoots and assaults.
So the game length may have been us playing wrong, too many players or the age of the players, me and one other player above 14. It could be the game shouldnt of played with that many people. However I just think it was a mixture of combinations.

The models are high detail and fun, may be a pain to paint but look cool, I can see the Sea Drake being used as unit filler for seaguard outside if games, However my high elf ship didnt go together too much, the bolt throwe heads and bodies not matching up, but I may have missed up. 'there goes my selling them for much after ive used the game and its worth loads on ebay'.

The rules are fun and easy to play. When you read the book.
However I would like to see rules for campaigns, tournemants that kind of thing.

Overall I need to get more games but at this point 8/10 for models and gameplay.

I took the store copy home to build, and my daughter and I played our first game just now. It went pretty fast. She won...

She's 3.

Granted we only played it as a counting game for her (count up the pips and if your pips are more, you win) and then move treasure off the table.

I've read some of the rules, but not all of it. I like the look and flavor of it all so far.

The models are fantastic. I love the Swordfysh and the chaos dwarf monster. I hope to start painting some after dinner tonight. The mat was fabric, which shocked me. I figured it was plastic. It's beautiful on its own.

I'm hoping my son takes to it, as I think he and I will have fun with it.

I know there isn't much added by my post other that "I agree, it's very cool"

Yeah, the amount of detail on the models is really phenomenal.

I'm surprised no one has commented on how high quality the rule/scenario book is. It's bound exactly like a codex and is nearly as long, and in full color!

I have now played the first 2 missions at home. The game is really fun, and the models are much better in person than the pictures. The details on the decks is extraordianry.

Picked up a copy at gamesday, then had some games in the hotel that night. Such a great fun game. My girlfriend and I are painting it at the moment, but there is so much detail it's going to take a while.

Well I've received my copy, really impressed so far though I've only had twenty minutes to look it over. Everything is bigger than I thought it would be, especially some of the islands.

Be careful when painting the range rulers. Got a some paint on the tabs and caused it to break off.

Figure I'd put this here. Its a really good set, particularly for protecting the ships and sails once they've been painted
