So today I picked up Dreadfleet and played my first game with the store copy.
There are several good points and a couple of difficult points.
Overall the game is very fun, requires tactics and is a good spectacle to watch. Admitedly when we have 10 players it got a big long, but that may have been because we didnt have a strong grasp of the rules, since the staff were so busy painting and making the models before hand they didnt get chance to play.
We were playing you move i move you shoot I shoot and combat, instead of that ship moves shoots and assaults this ship moves shoots and assaults.
So the game length may have been us playing wrong, too many players or the age of the players, me and one other player above 14. It could be the game shouldnt of played with that many people. However I just think it was a mixture of combinations.
The models are high detail and fun, may be a pain to paint but look cool, I can see the Sea Drake being used as unit filler for seaguard outside if games, However my high elf ship didnt go together too much, the bolt throwe heads and bodies not matching up, but I may have missed up. 'there goes my selling them for much after ive used the game and its worth loads on ebay'.
The rules are fun and easy to play. When you read the book.
However I would like to see rules for campaigns, tournemants that kind of thing.
Overall I need to get more games but at this point 8/10 for models and gameplay.
