Gamesday shopping spree ?

So those of you guys and gals going, what are you getting ?

Me I am not sure, I know im not buying anything 40k unless there is some new Necrons to be had, although I expect that to just be information.

So my options are

The Forge world Toad Dragon and book

Great Unclean one

or maybe even the Mammoth...... Just not sure :).

I know I want something BIG. Just not sure what.

Forge World - Imperial Amrour Apocalypse 2nd Ed & possibly a Praetor Armoured Assault Launcher.

If there's new Necrons I'll pick up a codex as a minimum, all depends on the quality of the minis if I go beyond that (and obviously availability).

I'll probably just limit myself to the new throne of chaos book.

There won't be any necrons. They might be on show, but the models won't be for sale. The DE weren't last year. GW hasn't done pre-sales since the codex marines 3-4 years ago.

I've got my DE Reaper, CE Wraithseer on order, and will be getting an Apoc V2.0 book if I can

This is exactly true, they won't be doing those types of sales anymore because it hurts sales for the brick and mortar stores as then the regulars to those stores who went to GD have mostly got what they wanted already at GD. Necrons might well be on show though.

A copy of Nocturne. A copy of Promethean Sun if I get to the Black Library stand fast enough (not likely). The Forge World show only models, possibly IAAv2, and some Inquisitorial bitz, and emphatically not three Praetors and two Macharius Vulcans and a Crassus! I can't afford that much resin! I can't CARRY that much resin! I mustn't I mustn't I mustn't I want I want I w...ARGH!

They sold out very quickly at Games Day Chicago. Supposedly they lost a couple palettes during the shipping process. This shouldn't be a problem in the UK.

Regardless, if you want FW stuff get there when the doors first open and bring things to entertain yourself while in line.

Within 10 minutes of the main doors opening the queue was an hour and a quarter.

When I left at 3 it was 3 times as long.

GW stuck all theirs sales stuff (FW, BL and regular) in one place, and had one queue for all of it. It was a one in one out.,...but noone was keeping an eye on the queue and people were jumping in and making little doglegs to the queue the whole time. So lots of people didn't buy anything

ON the other hand the FW reserve orders bit was much better. With everything paid for in advance there was no queue and pople just walked up and collected their stuff in a minute or 2
