That is why I place an order every 3 months. Sets me back $ 500, but I keep my wish list to a minimum! Have to budget these days, even when you don't have a wife and kids to support.

The Rhinos will be perfect for my Mk 2,3,4,5,6 armored squads. I have one of each. And just building the Assault Squads.

I really like the look of these. that front piece would look great on a predator to account for
front armour 13.

The trouble with the mkI style rhinos is that they are still different sizes to actual mkI's which means I still have different size tanks zooming around

This one looks the same scale as the MkII. Anyone know if they will offer this as an "upgrade" (or should that be downgrade?) or will you have to buy it as a whole kit? Also do you think maybe FW will bring out Mk1's of the other Rhino chassis tanks? I sure hope so.

From the price it looks like its a whole kit. So FW upgrade + GW base model. Other tank armour upgrades sprues are £18, so if it £33 just for the resin it seems a bit steep

It says in the description that it includes the plastic Rhino Kit.

hmm I have a few unmade rhinos I was hoping I could get this as an upgrade like their other stuff. That has whole kit and upgrade options. ah well I am in Nottinghamshire for work on Monday so will pop into Warhammer World and see if I can pick one up anyway.

I would assume that the upgrade kit on its own will be made available when they go up for sale on the Forge World wesite, that is usually how they do things.

I agree. I have two rhinos worth of parts in a box. Used to have a box full of 8 unassembled rhinos. Finally built the things :D
Upgrade packs for say 18-20 pounds would help my budget some.

The real trouble is that I have to punch someone who tries to sneak their Mk I Non Forgeworld Rhinos into a modern game. How shall I punch a well meaning but clueless Warhammer 40k player from 1989? PS: all Warhammer players, please have sort-of-modern figures so I can beat you senseless. This includes such armies as SoB, Orks or lame *** regular Eldar, thank you.

Geez, seriously, even if they are "legal" how can early super cheap GW models be allowed into a modern game?

I take great pride in being able to field entire armies with models over 10 years old.

True line of sight is the best reason to play old models like the original Avatar.

So 40k should be more like MTG where the person who spends more money, to get the better deck, has the advantage.

From a fluffwise perspective any legion that can trace itself back to first founding could field them, and they would be treated as relics with respect and a mark of pride that they are going to battle along side equipment that have been smiting the enemies of mankind since before the heresy started.

Also, why would I sneak them into a game, I would use them or no. I am not going to replace 10 tanks or so just because GW have remodeled it. I still use a mkI land speeder when I have to, while I prefer to use my more modern minatures (as they are painted much better) I will still use what I have when I need to. Similiarly I am not going to stop using my metal grey knights because there are plastic ones.
