nurgle

Hello everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. My favorite part of 40k is the artistic aspect, especially modding and modeling. I have a Space Wolves army and I'm in the process of collecting a Nurgle-ish Death Guard army. I really really wanted to be able to include a greater daemon in my army but the GW model is ugly and the FW model is quite expensive. So, I figured I'd make my own.
I've been working on it for a couple of weeks so far and have a few pictures to post. I'll track my progress here at BoLS.
1. I block in the thickest parts of the figure. I try to keep it from getting too bulky because I plan on putting a layer of "skin" over this musculature. I forgot to take pictures of the wire frame I created.

1a. I made the stomach cavity deep to accommodate the intestines and other goodies that I want to include.

Next post: I fire up my blocky, blobby, figure so I can continue to build on it. The next sculpting step is to build up the highest points that will be under the skin.
