Hello all,

I know this is prob a silly question, but I dont have the rulebook handy.

When a SaP unit launches an assault, do they count as Int 1 due to 'moving through difficult terrain'?

So my already slow Plaguebearers become slower when they move towards the enemy for assault?

Thanks all.

Just double-checked the rulebook FAQ on GW's website and yes, SaP models strike at I1 because their assault move counts them as moving through difficult terrain.

Frag grenades keep you from taking that penalty it can be found on page 36. Do they have frag grenades?

Yeah, they go at init 1 because they count as having moved through terrain... nades to counter it out... just remember that in the NEXT round of combat, they are at their normal init again

can someone just clarify this because i thought assaulting through terrain granted your opponent I10 for that turn and assault grenades ment you strike at the same time ie I10 so would a slow/purposeful unit strike similtanious on the first turn for having grenades?

If you don't have frag grenades and assault in to cover you attack at I1, but if you have frag grenades you attack as normal.

This is how it worked in Fourth Edition. It was changed with Fifth Edition.

And yet, some people are still playing by Edition 3/3.5/4 rules. Often a mix of them, actually.
