FW have started doing sneaky glimpse leaks of things on show at their display stands at GD UK on their official Facebook page

First up...is this!

http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/306495_284486901568597_257094630974491_1416575_413 8075_n.jpg

(Actually 2nd up is this...a few days ago they showed the boarding marine shields. But they're common knowledge now)

Any ideas? Fire away! The comments on FB seem to be leaning toward a Dreadnought of some kind (maybe the Chaos Contemptor?)

Don't know, the bits to the sides look more organic?

chaos dread, chaos dread chaos dread

waitaminit!

remeber how ages ago they said they were working on a warlord, and the princeps of those were in caskets like that

OMGOMGOMGOMGOGMOOGMGOGMOGMOGMGMOGM!

either that or its a chaos/admech unit?

DrLove42

Its definently not a warlord. They estimate 3-5 years for that, even if they do it. Its at such an early stage, theres not even concept art of it yet

They have also said AdMech is something they want to do but it isn't on the cards yet either. Which isn't to say it might not be a techpriest or somesuch. I'm going with terrain or some kind of dreadnought casket, possibly chaos.

A new sneak peek, some kind of Dark Eldar floor?
http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/300535_286083868075567_257094630974491_1425011_341 6671_n.jpg

Most likely would be the Tantalus, but we already know what it looks slike so not much of a revelation at GD. There are rumours of a much larger DE superheavy though.

Bah beat me to it.

I'm pretty sure its a DE vehcile floor

That looks like some sort of casket on the back of a large spine. It does look like a very strange model at the moment. I'm kinda of scared as to what it could turn out to be.

eldargal
09-06-2011, 09:20 AM
Yup, someone mentioned on warseer that the Tantalus is getting etched brass so it might be that. Or it could be something we haven't seen yet. I'm hoping it is something we haven't seen yet. We have the Reaper at 35 pounds, give us the Tantalus at seventy pounds and some larger thing at one hundred and thirty pounds and we have the three rough tiers or Eldar vehicle pricing covered.

My first thought when reading the above post by EG was: "Why the hell would you want a model that heavy?"

Facepalm.

Well if it's any consolation I read your post as 'Why the hell would you want a top heavy model?" and thought 'why on earth wouldn't you?'. Yay for wine at luncheon.

So, nineteen days to GD UK. Really can't wait.

I expect lots of pictures.

Do you know if they're going to have any exclusives there? I know they'll have copies of the new Sisters of Battle book with James Swallow signing. I need to try and find a Euro friend to finagle into posting me a copy.

It looks to me like an Imperial battle shrine. The background bits look like sandbags. I also think whatever it is is quite small, the blurriness of it makes it look like a bad cast, but it could be a closeup. I doubt they'd use a bad cast in an ad.

I know this is slightly off topic...but also slightly on

FW just confirmed rules for the Chaos Contemptor would be in IA Apoc 2 when it launches soon.

Gonna do everything I can to get in the FW seminar this year

Who managed to get tickets for the FW Seminar? I may end up with a spare..

They are, I just double checked by asking on FW Facebook page. MEans they generally go to the first 50 people who are entering golden demon and get in first. You know....the people who get there at 5 in the morning to queue...

Hmm, I had my local manager ring up when I ordered my Games Day tickets and reserve me 2 seminar tickets..
Curious!

Todays FW sneak peak is a picture of a final proof reading of a book! (My guess is from the Warhammer Forge book, not IA, but still.....)

Along with the message;

Today we're daring the wrath of our Book Production team to bring you a peek at one of the printing proofs you'll be able to leaf through on our Studio stands at Games Day.
Alan Bligh, writer of our hugely popular Badab War series of Imperial Armour books, alongside his intrepid writing team, Talima Fox and Neil Wylie, will be waxing lyrical about new and forthcoming books, as well as revealing a few of their future plans...

Hm, sneak peak is enticing. Never before have I so eagerly been awaiting a Forge World book, and this time it isn't just one but two, thanks to WarForge.

Underwhelmed to be honest. These sneak peek pics show nothing of interest to me. I'd rather have some idea as to what I'm supposed to be getting excited about. So far it's a servo skull on a blob, some curvy decking plate and a small colour picture of some text. Frankly I just don't see the big deal.
Don't get me wrong, I love FW products but these pics just don't generate enough interest just by their sheer vagueness.

eldargal

Quite, some people really don't seem to take to sneak peeks, others love them. Personally I'm in the middle. I enjoy speculating and if it is something that hints at something I really want (as the etched brass DE decking hints at larger DE vehicles) then I get excited. But the servo skull thing doesn't excite me that much, being imperial, and the book glimpse just reminds me how damned much I want the books already.

Looks like a Demon in a cage, or something. Perhaps an Inquisitiony model?

I think it looks more like a terrain piece. Haemonculi lab or something. Seems a bit farfetched though. Thought Daemon corpses dissapear after a while so hard to see why you would stick one in a cage and he doesn't look alive. I think he looks like the pigman from the the Slitheen double episode of Doctor Who with the 9th Doctor.

The Hemonculi need a vehicle of their own....a big one that can carry plenty of grotesques...

But anyway...I guess Fantasy as well

The Haemonculi ought to have some big engineered beast of burden, rather than a vehicle. Seems more their style.

Adeptus custodes? that squiqqle could be the "eye of terra" symbol

I think it is more likely to be Brad Redmaw, rather than the Adeptus Custards.

possibly, but they have released all that early power armour, and back in the mists of time there were models for "custards" lol

It's Horse armor for Lietpold, Fantasy

I agree, probably Redmaw. Looks like Runic armor, and a fist holding some sort of CCW.

Very very nice

I don't recognise the guns (assuming they're the 2 things at the front of the hull sections)

If they aren't the guns then i can't see any armament
