Cowboys vs Aliens. Army possible?

Heya Guys so I saw Cowboys vs Aliens last night and came out thinking how awesome the film was. Then i realised it had the possibility of being a good warhammer army theme. So origionally I was thinking Empire but realised that I wouldnt have the aliens. So would a Guard army work for this and what kind of things would I do.

Obv i was thinking like no tanks. And rough riders as well as infantry would be best army. Modelled with proper guns not lasguns obv.

So what do you think?

Well you could try something a bit more unorthodox and have an Eldar Exodite army on horse/space horses/giant lizards as the cowboys and Tyranids or Necrons as the aliens.

And I wasnt thinking of doing the Alien army myself just a cowboy themed Guard army based on the film so will have A model for Harrison ford a model for craig and a model for that girl. The doc will be a medic and preacher a priest :)

I was thinking that, how about Salamanders on Cold Ones counts-as-SMBikers or Space Wolves on Cold Ones counts-as-Thunderwolf Cav.

As for alien, I thinking possibly Tau as they are most "little green man" or greys :)

It's been out, at least in the US, for three or so weeks now. I found it almost shockingly decent m'self. :)

I think your best bet for a straight cowboys-type army influenced by the movie is a lot of appropriately-hatted Rough Riders, with the mix of natives and non-mounted gangers represented by Penal Squads. Cowboy-themed Veteran squads probably also wouldn't be out of the question.

The army probably wouldn't be much to be reckoned with on the tabletop, but it'd be one hell of a fun project!
