Ever have one of those nights when you can't sleep because you have an idea for how you want to paint a certain miniature? Laying in bed you think, "Ahhh, but I could try this-or-that effect!"....and then you have to get up and paint(even if its 3am). That's what happened with my Orin Midwinter figure.

The Privateer Press sculpted him with such a dynamic pose, it cried out for a base that showed off his balancing skill...

Here are a couple shots that show is leaf scatter basing done(homemade style) with Birch Catkins...

1) Very nice paint job.

2) I have never, ever, had sleeplessness brought about due to an unpainted miniature. That sounds...wrong.

3) Just from the subject matter alone I was half expecting dual-wielding automatic pistols, dark shades, & black trenchcoats...well played.

I like the paint job very much, and who doesn't love those scibor bases! The image looks a bit off to me; i think it may be because you photochopped it?

And wow. If I had sleepness nights due to unpainted minis, I'd never sleep. Ever.
