Just something that caught my attention. I went to ask my local game store to order me two Orge Battalions today and noticed they had been removed from GWs website. I was going to start painting these to get me started while I waited for the Codex and the rest of the models to be released. Maybe there is a new Battalion in the making???

Battalions/Battleforces are now generally a second wave release for most armies.

wave 2 for 40k, but they've been wave 1 for TK and Orks thus far, so I'd suspect we'd get Ogres new box next month as well.

Yea the box was there one day and gone the next. It was a really good deal, about $150 worth of models for $100.

It was an amazing deal when it was $90 US up unitl last May 28. Last year I anticipated that such a good price break wouldn't last and bought two Ogre Battalions from The War Store at 20% off for $72 each. Even after the May 28 price increase it was still an okay deal. I wonder what will be in the new Ogre Battalion and what kind of price break it will have. The way things have been going people may want to snap up the older Battalion where they can find it on store shelves before the new one arrives.

Yeah I managed to score one from NobleKnight last week, still listed at $90 with a $10 discount so only $80 - for $155 of models :) Even if I have yet to be convinced about the effectiveness of Gnoblars, the Ogres alone would add up to $120 (so even at $105 it's a good deal).

Nice score. Still looking around myself and it is bone dry..(shrug) I will just wait and see what comes out here in a few weeks.

I went into GW the other day and the manager said they weren't getting restocked once they sell out of the Battalion. He was speculating the bulls and gnoblars would stay and we'd maybe get some of those cat riders.

I wish I picked up another one of the current battalions when I had the chance for a nice discount.
