Long time lurker, first time pic poster....

Over the years Ive been collecting Rogue Trader Era figures. Due to moving around a bit and having stuff all space they've been religated to a box in the shed. Well.. after many a year I finally have permission from " 'er indoors" to have a hobby room (Yay!)..

A while ago I picked up a squad of metals already painted up. I've been trying to pad them out a little with some plastic beakies without having to completely repaint everything... so heres the first one...

I apologize for the pic quality... using a phone cam in cr*p lighting..

"My ... what Big Hair you have.... Sir"
Heres a group shot for comparison... I think I got it pretty close.. could still do with a little more of a lighter blue but I think its cos I ran out of white primer and had to use dark blue instead...

Lemme know what you guys/gals think...

PIece of advice for photos. Put a piece of white paper behind the model you're photographing, it'll stop the camera focusing on the background. Also see if your camera has a macro mode

With that dark blue, and the lack of iconography they currently look more like Crimson fists. Whish isn't a bad thing- Crimson Fists are on the cover of rogue trader after all.

I think I've got both the figures on either end, 80's big-hair rock fan boy and the standing to attention beaky.

DrLove42: Thanks for the tip ... shoulda read the post on posting pics before I took them huh...
Meph: :) cheers
Grailkeeper: Now that you mention it they do look "Fisty" ... was thinking of painting the right shoulder pad quartered black & blue (for 5th Company) with squad markings in white over the top of it with the Ultramarines logo on the left shin.

Any second now someone will post complaining about the scale. Ignore them. This is the mark of a veteran, and we all know how much these bad boys go for on ebay...

Nice minis.
