Here is my first Furioso Dreadnought. I wanted to create something that has just survived through an entire campaign against the forces of Chaos so there are melta wounds, lascannon gouges, bolter wounds and some small arms wounds as well.

That's certainly a big whack of damage! I noticed his left shinplate doesn't seem to be marked. When you paint him you could do it cleanly as if it's a new part, with the scroll comemorating the campaign.
Still no images mate... :-O

I pulled the host urls from the original post, so I can see them in my post but still not in the OP:

My aplogies I am use to sites like dakka where they allow you to just attach the pictures from your comp. I have not found that function here yet.
What image hosting site do people normally use?
Anyone know any tutorials on painting melta or lascannon wounds on metal?

Bunnyhopping & circle-strafing. ^^
But seriously, nice impact marks. Looking forward to the paintjob!

It's nice except for the fact that the claws have miraculously been saved from any kind of battle damage. I shall assume they spent most of the campaign inside someone else and thus protected

Since they are lightning claws for a dread the damage will be painted on. It is hard to destroy activated power weapons. At least all the BL books I have read show as much.

The citadel tank painting book has a pretty cool reference in it that shows some melta damage.
It basically looks like a hole, that it still glowing hot from the melta

Citadel's "How to paint Tanks" book is actually my source of inspiration. I was wondering if anyone had tried it though.
