Ogres confirmed for September

I don't have a scanner handy, but I can confirm that backpage for Ogre Kingdoms. Sisters look kinda fun, and the new Vampire Counts Lord on Dragon/Terrorgheist is a deliciously evil-looking model.

Ever since Space Hulk two years ago we get a "mystery box" rumor now every year. As I said last year when the rumor started up again, have fun waiting for that. GW is not going to do that every year just because they did it once in 2009.

September is SEPTOGRE.

If GW decides to do another one next year or 5 years from now it does not validate the rumors from this year and last year. Again, just because they did it ONE time in 2009 does not validate that this is actually going to happen every year or that there was one in the works last year or this year. If you predict something all the time and then it eventually does happen, that doesn't make the predictions accurate, just coincidental. The rumor was persistent in 2010 and everyone can see how that worked out, it didn't.

Harry and ghost21 both say there is a naval game being released soon, both of whom have excellent track records. That is more than just making predictions until they come true.

Harry is the one person on the GW webway that can be believed pretty much all the time. I'll agree the "naval game" rumor has legs (oars?) this year. The way GW does things now though, they won't announce such a thing till just a few hours or days before it goes up for Advance Order, in some cases even just after.

I think my point about "mystery box" rumors is valid nevertheless. Someone is going to start that rumor every year now in the post Space Hulk release world, but we're not going to get one every year.

I say Brass, it seems you have a real piss and vinegar tome on most of your post lately.

I doubt they are doing a mystery box as they have said nothing about it form trade and even when they try to hide it they do not do that very well at trade when something new is coming they will not confirm when something is truely not coming they say no chance and confirm the negative.

Oh I agree, we won't get one every year, but we may well get one this year. Then maybe another a few years down the track, who knows. But certainly not every year.

True, but if there is one model in the current range that needs to be done in plastic its the scrap launcher!

I'd expect metal regiments to be redone in plastic, with the single metal models re-done in fine-cast. Something like the scraplauncher has enough bits to warrant a plastic kit, but smaller models don't.

Who needs a "mystery box" anyway? Besides, given the new level of secrecy at GW every box is a mystery box till just days before it's available to order.

Have to say I couldn't care less about Ogre Kingdoms myself, but nice to see an army in need of an update get updated. Also interesting to see what big plastic kits come along, I think a giant mammoth thing was mentioned.

I wish they would keep it all in 28mm scale, they have shown large ships in the White Dwarf magazine on numerous occasions and I have been waiting for them to release a navel game with some big ships in this scale. They would go over well here in the states I think. I have seen Eldar ships in that scale along with conventional ships in the Island of Blood artwork and also Dwarf ships in the mag too!
