Does anyone one have any idea on a release date and figs to be released for the next waves of Finecast?
Since it is a new range, I find it strange that any news has died of death...

Second wave was supposed to come out in August, but I've not heard anything more about it. I do wonder, and this is pure speculation, if they are delaying it while they work out their quality control issues.

Also speculation but it appears to me that the rumour clampdown and shortened advance order date is to give GW something new to announce every week:
Week 1: Advance orders of primary release
Week 2: Primary release
Week 3: Advance orders of secondary release
Week 4: secondary release
Could be that next finecast wave will be August's secondary release and will be announced mid month?

Yep, that is quite possible, maybe more likely than my speculation too.
Really hate their stance on rumor control. Its just entirely counter productive when matched with their wave release strategy.
They release Codices and models slowly in waves so people can get excited about the next big thing and save money...but don't tell them about it until about three weeks beforehand?
It boggles the mind.
Their marketing team is just a fistful of *******s.

Actually it's released today, you just won't have noticed since they are SoM models.

If you mean when is the next wave of metal-to-finecast happening, we don't know. What I suspect is that it will work one of 2 ways. 1) You will get a gradual drip feed effect of a few models being updated each month alongside the big new release. 2) Each big new release will see some new finecast models, along with some of the old metal ones being updated to finecast. Then in December when not much is released you will see a big wave of finecast updating. Or some combination of the two might work.
I lean towards the latter option as it will be the cheap option for GW, as it will mean they can launch a new army book/codex with relatively few brand new models and big chunk of old metal ones either in new plastic versions or just direct conversions to finecast. This will speed up the release of codexes before the rumoured 6th edition, and work with their WD codexes, meaning they can have a release of 'new models' to accompany SoB without actually bothering to design anything. It will also allow them to make a big bunch of sales in December when it is usually a quiet time for them.

A supplier or some such leaked a list of the Finecast second wave for August, including Slann mage priests and Howling Banshees amongst a lot of other things. So they certainly intended another wave, ythe TK and SoM Finecasts were part of the army/expansion waves.

Yah it was this sort of info I was looking for, I would have thought that afull metal-resin schedule would have been released with the first wave. As Eldargirl suggests, maybe quality issues... another possibility is that they don't won't another mistake like the initial release where I heard that there was 1 fig for an entire region...it would be poor show if that did happen again.

I f the DA master of the Ravenwing is true, you know I'll be converting the proverbial out of that! Maybe an additional Ork deffkopta (like i need more...) and another; possibly a techmarine on a bike with a convertion beamer or some such insanity.

I have seen no necron fine casts ( not a huge surprise)
how ever I also noticed no tau figures on the(huge) posters in my local GW. there were some "classified/coming soon" gaps, I assume for new necrons.
i know that there were some ( i think in the back of WD) but there was not much emphasis on them compared to other races.

I may be wrong but the armies that so far have not received finecast models are
40K
Necrons, Sisters of Battle & Tau
Fantasy
Ogre Kingdoms & Brettonians

The Tau have a couple (ethereal and sniper drones).
No Necrons or SOB yet

The Classified gaps were GW's way of teasing the Haemonculi Finecast releases.
And Morgan's right; Tau have an Ethereal and Sniper Team in Finecast.
No Necrons or SOB for pretty obvious reasons, I'd imagine. Both of those armies are in the pipe and both of them have extensive metal ranges that are rumoured to be/are in need of a large overhaul (i.e. more than a Finecast re-release).

Bretonnians have got the Green Knight and King Leoncour in finecast. OK have not recieved anything, given they are odds on favourite to be the next Warhammer army to be updated.

Most armies aren't getting anything in wave 2, so don't look into it too much.
