New limited edition Novella.
I'm loving all the Heresy stuff so I'll be getting it.
Any thoughts on what it is about or has anyone read Hammer and Bolter issue 10 for the first 3 chapters?

Sweet. Though I hope they have improved their servers, the really dropped the ball on the last one. So many people were trying to order a copy that they couldn't keep up and had to temporarily withdraw it from sale because they had no idea how many people had actually ordered copies. And it took me 20 minutes to actually order mine.
Still, Promethean sun is a really nice book, so I have high hopes for this one.

I have just read the Hammer & Bolter 10 extract and it looks like it's going to be very interesting.
I wll now give a basic outline of extract so SPOILER ALERT!
Is set after Isstvan.
Horus has meeting with fellow traitor Primarchs. Magnus is communicating via psychic means.
Fulgrim enters and Lorgar tries to kill him beacuse he's possesed.
Horus points out the double standard of this but Lorgar whines that " it's not the same as my men".
Lorgar has talk with Magnus ending in Lorgar pointing out that Magnus and his legion are crippled while his legion is strong.
Magnus says Lorgar knows nothingwhile Lorgar believes he knows "the truth of reality".
Magnus says show me then and the last words of the extract are Lorgar saying "very well, Magnus."

Well, there's another 70 bucks I'll be spending that I don't need to. Stupid shipping....

I was really on the fence about whether I wanted to get the last one and then it sold out insanely fast and my mind was made up for me lol. I love the heresy series but I'm not that interested in the Salamanders not the word bearers to be honest so not too sure that I want this one either, especially if it is the same price as the last limited release.
I would be more likely to purchase if it was released as an audio book or in a collection in a few years down the line. Of course if it was a Blood Angels limited I would be first in the line to get one with little regard to the cost lol. Each to their own I guess.

I'm pretty sure they will release these Novellas again in a collected works. I think it said so in the blurb for Promethean Sun.
p.s I've got a spare copy of Promethean Sun that I'm gonna be putting on ebay.

So.... I may be in the process of transcribing some of the more limited works (Promethean Sun, Iron Warrior, Daethynos). I had stopped because I didn't know how many people would care. Thoughts?

Iron Warrior will be available again in the Iron Warriors omnibus. Not a big fan of copying works like that personally.

I'd normally agree, but I think it's unfair that there are lot of people that can't get the novel in any format (even digitally) for 2 years.
If they released it 6 months later digitally, or even 3 months later, the 3000 copies would still sell out.
I'm personally fine with waking up at 4am so I can ensure I get my copy, because I like having the phsyical copy with the bonus art, etc. However, there are plenty of folks that just want the story. And again, I think that part should be made available in a digital format for those that want it.

They have kept hold of some copies of Promethean sun to give away as prizes and take to various Games Days, so look out for them. Also, Wittdooley, if you are planning to commit copyright theft, I wouldn't advertise it on the internet. GW takes a dim view of people ripping off their IP and authors get mighty pissed about people nicking their work.

Haha, I was mostly doing it so I can put them on my iPad :), but you do make a good point. The last people I want to rip off are the authors, TBH.
Bear in mind, this is coming from a dude that owns physical copies of almost every book they've released in the past 5 or so years, owns every audiobook, and usually buys digital copies of his physical books as well. The last thing I want to do is rip them off :)
However, I still think they should make the story available digitally for those that want it. They'd still sell out of their special editions (particularly the HH ones). That's all.

Yeah, the limited release crap makes me pretty upset. I'm not throwing down $70 on a Salamanders book, nor am I getting up at 4am to make sure i get my copy.
I do want to continue reading the series, and having stories, even one-offs, effectively locked off for 2 years just grates me the wrong way.
Yeah, I really hate when Black Library does limited release stories. I never get to read any of them. This is especially displeasing to me when they're part of the Horus Heresy.
People shouldn't have to jump through hoops to read a story that they want people to read in the first place.
