What colour should a brass scorpion be?

Simple question - I can't remember if they are supposed to be all brass, or in the colours of the Blood God or what.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, brass can be painted over so my suggestion would be to paint it as you like. Of course a Khorne flavoured theme always looks nice. A good arterial red and some nice brass, it is a good colour combo. But as said, don't feel limited by that palette.

Generally, most of the one's i've seen have been red and gold (or possibly red and very shiny brass...) but i have seen a truely epic looking beastie in gold and blue. Just let your imagination run wild.

What I'd like to do with a Brass Scorpian is do a really detailed, weathered brass colour, with plenty of weathering and that greeny-stuff that appears on brass statues, then do loads of dripping red all over it, like blood poured on by the worshippers of khorne to annoint the machine to his favour.

the best one i've seen was red body and tail but the claws were oxidised/weathered brass...looked sooo damn good (easy to do as guides how to paint this are on GW website in skaven section.)

In all honesty, I don't like the look of the forgeworld scorpion. It is an awesome model, sure, with a top paint job.

But...

It looks like 'If Eldar did daemon engines'. Its too smooth. The paint scheme is more West Coast Customs than murder-obsessed servant of the blood god. I could buy this more as a slaanesh with its rounded edges.

I am after more a fluff-wise answer - are they actuall brass coloured (can't remember my GG).

I think it may end up as my usual Khornate scheme - as demonstrated by this LR...
