Toxik's WIP Dark Eldar

So this is my first installment of what I hope to keep up as my army project log. This first post will be just of my wip Baron Sathonyx. I didn't want to make him to flashy as his art and little bit of back story don't portray him as such.

First up we have his skyboard.

Now for a bit of body. I haven't done anything to change the flow of his cloak, because one he is on his base it's movement should be close enough to what it should be.

All together now. I haven't decided on if I want him to have the long flowing hair he has going on in the art, or if I want to keep bald. So far I'm really tempted to keep him bald so I can try my hand at some freehand tattoo work.

The only things that aren't shown are the Bones of the Seer (I haven't decided on what I want to use for them yet) and a piece of shoulder armor that I'm still working one.

I like where you are going with this! My opnion, I'd give him the long hair, and also for his left arm take the pistol away and either leave the hand empty kind of like he is stabilizing himself with it, or put the stones of the seer in it. I would recommend going through some Dire avenger bitz like some of the symbols they have hanging on their weapons, and I think they come with a little warrior statue thing that you could chop up and use the symbol stuff from it. Have them hanging from a chain or something in his left hand, or swinging behind him from his belt or from the side.

Toxik, I have a suggestion for the hair/tattoo, have him bald with a topknot in the middle of his head with the tattoo coming out of the topknot, and then you have it as long or short as you want.

Update: So after a few different trial and error ideas, this is the almost finished Baron. For the hair I decided to give him a mohawk that hasn't been put up. The last thing I'm really deciding on is the left arm. I'm not sure if it should be armored or left bare.

that pistol pose was cool, too. I would suggest a different hellion be in that pose, however. I like this model
