Is that yellow-grey Milliput? Because those are some beautifully smooth lines. How did you get the edges so nicely sanded down, and how did you score the groves in the armour? I have huge trouble doing it that precisely.

I love it, especially the gun! What is it an old-school boltgun?

I am not much on large scale stuff, but you did a great job! Stance is nice, and the proportions are pretty much spot on for the old marines. Now, I want you to build me a Leman Russ tank to that scale, i'll drop and engine in it and join the Shriners lol.

It's actually a 1st ed Autogun. Beautiful old design; I'm always a bit gutted they never did them in plastic for the IG - they look a lot better than the rubbishy Lasguns!

If you go to Forge World, the Traitor Guard carry them :)

Amazing work! My only complaint is the chest isn't "barrel" enough. Makes it look more GI Joe than Space Marine. Other than that, great job!

Excellent work. The sculpt is incredible, and the level of detail is astounding.

That being said, I'm going throw in some constructive criticism. While the proportions are right on for a human, they break down when you realize that there should be a person inside it. The legs are a bit too long for the thickness of the thighs, and torso seems too small for the length of the limbs in general. The sholders are a bit low, but not by much. The neck is too long, and the head is too small.

The silhoutte is basicly that of a normal human man. It would work, if power armour was 1mm thick. But when you consider that it's supposedly several inches thick, suddenly the man iside becomes freakisly skinny, with a matchstick head and a giraffe's neck. Granted, most citadel models suffer from this too (I'm sure you've noticed that a space marine helmet is the same size as a bare head) but you've taken it even farther.

It's more a stylized interpretation than anything. It puts me in mind of this:

I'd actually love to have the pair of them side by side on my desk. They're both amazing sculptures.

QFT :) the minis are out of proportion the general rule i think is that you would need to be some kind of mutant to fit in this stuff, a debate i've had several times with friends. the girlie marines a cool job where did you get that or is it one you prepared earlier?
I appreciate any honest genuine constructive comment thanks for the input. if you want to have a look at my other stuff try "cassar" gallery on cmon here's the link http://www.coolminiornot.com/artist/cassar i also have sever wips on the forums over there.
