It probably won't look quite so huge once its primed. I find the metal parts always look larger on hybrid models.

Of course its rdiculously impractical but that goes for lots of things the space marines use.

Yes it is too big, but that really does make it look quite awesome and "Space Wolf Hero-y" :P i.e. perfect!

To my eyes yes it is too big but as others have mentioned - Space Marines do things BIG, especially Space Wolves, so if it fits the the rest of the army/unit then stick with it
