need some suggestions

Hey guys,

I'm working on a scenario for an apoc game, and I need some heavy weapons for turrets on fixed fortifications. Something like battle cannons.

Nobody in our group has anything larger then an autocannon to spare, and all the places I've gone to for bits are either out or stupid expensive.

Can anyone suggest an inexpensive alternative?

You remember those green army men of your childhood? Look closely at those green tanks that come with those men when you come across one packet of these men next time: sometimes you might strike gold and get a turret good enough for conversion... rip it off the chassis, spice it up with a random Aquilla or two, and plop it onto a fixed encampment.

Similarly, the "cheap toys" section of the local mart, filled with cheap plastic, may be a possible gold mine for these things too.
