Has it really been a week since my last conversion?! Well here's one of my latest creations, a Heavy Gear inspired Tau Battlesuit. I started with a normal suit, then resculpted the arms in 4 pieces each, which I then cast in resin so that I could make multiples. So now I have a nice conversion kit to make a bunch of these big fellas.

This.
Looks.
Awesome.
Personally, I'm more a fan of the digitigrade legs on Tau battlesuits (since it makes sense with the race and helps them look unique), but this is too good a conversion to dislike. :) I think you nailed it.

Loooks great, my only comment would be that with all the extra muscle added to the suit, the plasma rifle now looks a little small and could do with an extension.

Thank you all very much for the feedback! Hopefully I can find a decent way to pour the mold I made to get it consistently without bubbles, or at least small enough to fill easily so I can do a whole army.

I've heard this a lot from people, but I'm not a fan of digitgrade legs on the tau suits. Just because they have digitigrade legs doesn't mean their tech will, take a look at IG sentinels for example. Digitigrade legs are actually more suited for fast moving vehicles (like sentinels) where Plantigrade legs (i.e. human, cows, &c.) are more stability and load-bearing. I figure the advantage of a Tau suit, is that it can stand in a load-bearing position for maximum stability, especially for broadside, and when they need to be mobile, they have the jetpacks on back. That's just my theory anyhow. ;)

I like the look, but to be honest I think it seems more gundam than heavy gear blitz, but either way the look is great. I will agree the gun looks a little small and could use some beefing up
