DE Splinter Pistols after FAQ

In the DE codex the splinter pistol is Str X , Pistol/ Poison (4+). But after reading the FAQ released, it said the shuriken pistol was Str 4, pistol. So my question is; Have the rules changed? Is the pistol Str 4 without the poison rule? Or is it Str 4 with the poison rule?

I know the shuriken pistol is an Eldar weapon, but I know the rules lawyers out there are going to claim the FAQ trumps the Codex.

Was this just a misprint? Did GW make a mistake (say it isn't so!)? How does everyone else play this? Just ignore it?

Splinter pistols are unaffected by the FAQ, the passage in question refers to the shuriken pistols carried by Harlequins and merely gives them the same stats given for shuriken pistols in Codex:Eldar.
