I've googled this and mostly what I've found is tutorials on vehicle painting and other bigger pieces, however I'm wanting to do dual colors on Terminators half being bone white and the other half DA green. What I was wondering is how would I go about doing that, I can imagine it can be done with a steady hand and a good brush, I have bother but not quite *that* steady. I was wondering how you more experienced and wiser painters go about butting straight edges and lines on your models.

And you got it easy, just do the line in DA green and if you get wrong you can always go back using the white of the other half

There is no easy answer other than a steady hand and a good brush. The good news is that at the 28mm size, it will look pretty good even if it is not a perfect line.

I have had ace results with masking tape.

Masking tape for vehicles is great. I'm not so sure that the effort to put masking tape on terminators outweighs just painting as straight a line as possible freehand and touching up any obvious errors.

That link is fantastic thank you MarneusCalgar! I think I'll try both free handing and using masking tape and see which works better and I'll post my results.

I suggest putting two dots where I want the line to start and where I want it to finish, then connect it as best as I can.

I find if I don't have a pre-deterimined start/end, my brush wanders and I screw it all up. Hope it helps!

I will most definitely post results, never fear. I hadn't thought of that Brymm but that is genius.

I made a template out of paper (bakingsheet paper? I'm not sure what it's called in English). Works great and the arrow is exactly the same on all my rhinos.

(Don't mind Fett in the background lol)
This was just with my brush and I'm pretty happy about how it turned out, there's still some cleaning up I've got to do yet. My next one I'll see what using tape turns out like. What do you guys think?
