The Enemy Weapon you love too hate!

I just want to know what most people hate about the weapons that your army faces. I play BA and for me its Eldar/DE lance weapons, and DE Disintigrators! "Hello i just killed 5 space marines in one shot lol"

I was going to do this as a poll but i dont really know many other codex weapons outside the ones i play the most against

I would like to point out that a Disintergrator can only kill 3 marines, and then only if they all 3 shots hit and all wound. And a Lance can only kill 1!

For more marine killingyness in a single shot look for Vindicators or Battle Cannons.

Least favourite weapon for me is the Nova Cannon (think thats its name) on a Russ. S6, AP2, ignores cover?...thats hurts DE a LOT

When playing Necrons, I love to hate me some Basilisk squadrons.

The hate comes partly from my particular experiences with them which may be atypical. It seems the IG player I face always manages to walk their barrage over a large swath of my warriors and scarabs. It's instant death for any warrior out of range from the res-orb (and their's usually a few), and it's über death for the scarabs. The basilisks are always either out of sight or smack in the middle of area terrain.

The love part comes from my always running with six wraiths and a warsythe armed destroyer lord. Typically 40 long range shots from 40 warriors does both jack and ... well, jack ... to a Basilisk with a cover save, but 29 CC attacks from the wraiths & lord carves them all to scrap in a single go.

I would think that the wraiths would get hosed by mass volleys of gunfire.

When I play crons, I hate AP 3- pie plates. When I play DE, I hate autocannon and ML spam. My wyches also hate bolter fire when their ride gets popped.

For my poor dark elder its autocannons autocannons everywhere :-/ with or without pay ammo it doesn't matter they just pop everything and then turn the guys to pulp :-(

For my ravenwing tau suit plasmas so much high strength plasma :-/ an a base gun that wounds me on 4!!! Why oh why... And then I hit there lines and it's all ok again :-)

Thunderfire cannons. Hate 'em.

I once fielded a WierdBoy once who rolled nothing but teleports... thanks to the bunching up due to deepstrike rules, the Thunderfire cannon disappeared 30 boyz in 2 turns.

It's the Eradicator Nova Cannon Range 36" Str 6', Ap 4, Heavy 1, Large Blast, Ignores cover save. Brilliant when you fit 3 Heavy Flamers for more ignore cover save fun :).

I hate every weapon indiscriminately - but then a menacing glance is usually enough to kill an Guardsman :(

Are you reffering to one Disentegrator cannon on it's own? As i'd imagine the comment he was making (about killing 5) refers to Ravagers mounted with 3 such lovely guns :D... (if I hadn't of read this properlly (while removing the context of Ravagers on my behalf), would have made me look like an idiot :L)

I have an unreserved hatred for Incubi!:mad: Don't get me wrong, I think the unit is great but its just so annoying fluff/rulewise. They are basically just DE aspect warriors with a few exceptions.
1) 3+ save. In eldar you either have 3+ save OR fleet. In DE there is no limitation
2) Klaives. Eldar striking scorpions have +1S, banshees have power weapons. Incubi have both.
3) Price. Admittedly Incubi are more expensive than Aspect warriors. But they are still pretty cheap for what they do.
So thats my rant over. Don't feel bad DE players of the world, I don't blame you for taking incubi, I'm just going to throw my entire army at them in a blind fury:D

NOTE: I know this is a what weapon you hate the most, but the incubi are basically a weapon anyway

Don't forget the fluff makes it clear that Dark Eldar are faster, more agile and have better reflexes thanks to their non-restrictive lifestyle so from that perspective Incubi make sense. Not saying your gripes are unwarranted, I've had dramatic success with my Incubi too, much to the disgust of my opponents. Just saying there is a reason for it.

yup that's how they get used against me! nothing better than kissing a combat squad on an objective good bye:D

The weapon I hate most is Incinerators as I can not use Redeemers in my Chaos Marine Army. I can however use Doom Sirens and use them in each Squad of my Emperor's Children Battle Company that can take it.

Since I have not faced Dark Eldar yet, then the next most hated weapon is the Necron War Scythe ot the Assassin's C'tan Phase Sword.

The army with the largest ammount of hated weapons is the Imperial Guard. Between the Lemun Russ Battle Cannon, Vanquisher cannon, Manticores, Basalisks, Collussus, and the weapons mounted on any of the Hell Hound tank, they have the most devastating high strength, large blast template collection of any one army.

Range 24" Str 5 Ap - Heavy 20
That combined with the 3 Heavy Bolters & Storm Bolter on my LR Punisher mean an awful Lot of dice and death.

all i can think of is...Template weapons, all of them. Flamers, Battle Cannons, etc...

I don't like Rail Guns, Scatter Lasers and Plasma/Autocannon Spam. Penning my armour straight away and then getting +2 to the damage chart is not cool :(

The Ork Zapp gun (the Big Mech mounted one) scares me...

But in general I would hate to face off against Nova Cannon armed Leman russ'. Str6 means my Deldar are instant killed (ignoring any Pain tokens they may have earned), they ignore cover (the best thing since sliced flesh [not sure if Deldar really require sliced bread that much, proably a bit of a non-invention to them] for Deldar) and they are AP 4 (which is the best normal save I am gunna get [if you dont count Incubi]. I am not couting the bigguns' in that... As blasts aren't that great against bigguns').

Oh and of course Templates of any kind hurt, but I am not as worried about them, they are easier to avoid :L

I found a new one for me at least to hate, what ever those long cannons the Tau Robots have mounted on their shoulders and pair that up with jetpacks and relentless!
