So today was Legionary 2011. And overall it was shall i say Brilliant, loads of fun.
I took part in the 40k tourney with my Templars, after beating a Ork horde in my 1st game I thought i was up for a good day in gaming.

Sadly I used all my luck at luch at Col.Gravis zombie survival game where I thrashed the record of 28 up to 45. Gotta love killing 11 zombies in a turn with 6 guardsman and making him run out of zombies :P

Game 2 was against a Deathwing army at table 1. sadly I was unable to tear through his storm sheilds as quickly as i would of liked and a bad roll at end of turn 5 stopped me drawing as i would have stormed my objective again.

Game 3 was against a Grey knight army, which used the questionable DK jump across the board for 1st turn LRC charge, lucky i countered this and followed it up by butchering that 1 DK and his interceptors.
Sadly he reached me and his second DK and termies minced me due to lucky invunv saves on his DK from lascannon wounds which allowed him to destroy my preds. and stopping me killing his Termies :p.

Still got a lucky Typhoon shot killing a GM on last turn :) still a loss but good fun.

There was also loads of stuff to do for non tourney players weather buying crazy Machine Gun wielding puter ducks or play testing infinity, which *cough* I owned with 1 knight *cough*.

Overall a good day, and It was good to meet fellow bolsers. Shame you all missed it :)

Nice little write up of the event, I would of liked to have seen more of it myself, but the Zombies kept me busy pretty much for the whole day.

As it turned out the nearest score to yours was 38, so your record stands.

If anyone is interested in the mission rules the Quick Reference Sheets I put together can be downloaded from the below address.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. Unfortunately it may well have been the last one. The Show hangs in the balance as although the new venue was great, it was very expensive and the show made a loss. Exmouth Imperials are holding our AGM tomorrow night and the main topic will be whether it will be a viable proposition in the future.

Yes it does hang in the balance somewhat from my understanding, however I also know that there are other parties interested, so even in the worst case scenario there will likely still be a comparable event in Exeter to enjoy. Its not all doom an gloom just yet.
