So i went on the GW website and just to browse around and I saw something strange. I saw the price of a venerable dreadnought was 74 dollars!!! I looked at the prices of other models and their prices were way off too! Is anyone else seeing this?

UK prices don't seem to have gone up, maybe a US only thing? You guys had any tax rises recently?

Price rises are usually just after their year end, which should mean end of June I think.

Were you accidentally looking on the Australian GW? Or the Canadian one?

$74 is the Australian price (about $82 US)

This is the obligatory once a month "crazy post". Seriously, this has gotten to be a regular feature. Every few weeks someone starts a forum topic like this with the cause being that they were looking at what is to them a foreign GW site.

Yeah, its just GW playing sillybuggers with your brain. I asked this of my GW rep a while back about prices changing (mainly the CDN -> US dollar difference and fluxuations). She said that prices are fixed for a 12 month period starting at the beginning of the calendar year.

So when you see a price on the GW website, rest assured, they've been gouging us for that amount since the beginning of 2011. :D

A Stormraven is $121.

That being said, importing from the UK is extremely cheap for us, and most Forge World stuff is cheaper then the plastic GW stuff.

It's not just GW stuff though. Our cars are crazy expensive too. For example, a BMW M3 is $150000 ($165000 USD). That's WELL over Maserati money (Almost Lamborghini money).

Who wanna bet that they wouldn't revise the prices if the exchange rate suddenly went bad for them and the £ skyrockets?
