Just added a new model to our Catalogue. This model is special for us in a few ways. Its our first full metal miniature, not just an accessory piece. We also have recently hired Angel Giraldez as a painter for many of our pieces.

If you have ever wanted a female HQ model for your Eldar army, this may be your lucky day. So with no more delays...

Doomseer Iyanar-Duanna is cursed with the ability to forsee the slow death of her race. She shares the ability of all seers to see the paths of her race, but is only able to see the deaths of her people and nothing else. She was psychically scarred when she witnessed the death of an entire world-ship, she is now doomed to spend every moment of her life tracking down the creature responsible.

It is 28mm scale and comes with a 25mm base. Each model will come with a sword arm, spear arm, spell casting arm and pointing arm.

Next month I hope to have another piece that Eldar players can integrate into their armies.

The helmet horns look a little big...but other than that I'm a fan!

A little more varience in my massive seer council is always nice...

It's... interesting that people then complain about GW "being an ***" about protecting their IP.

The sculpt and painting are great, but would it really hurt so much to change the name to, I don't know, Space Elf Witch?

I wasn't going to mention Malantai is also a GW trademark...

It's SOOOOO pretty!

p.s. Stop poking the bear and just call it a space elf already!

She's really nice, still very similar but distinctive and characterful. Though I think I'd be using the flaming death-fist over the 'waving' hand...

Thank you.

I really like the mini, however.

Alternative catchphrase include "These are not the droids you're looking for" and "Young Man...theres no need to feel down!"

Chapterhouse realy has no shame at all do they?

to be honest i am suprised and slightly dissapointed that the BoLS moderators allow you to promote yourselves on the forums.

I am pretty sure there is no trademark for Malantai or Doomseer... If someone can prove there is one, Ill be happy to change some of the wording.

A beautiful sculpt :) It's great to see a female model that looks battle-worthy.

If you like female aliens and humans, this next month will be fun for you (I have another female elf waiting for a paint job and some human female soldiers).

I like the model like almost all of your stuff, and I love the paintjob, and I'm considering getting one, but you guys *really* need to call your stuff something different. You're blatantly selling 40k products using GW's IP and trademarks without permission, which is basically what the company survives off of, and that's not the sort of trouble you need if we want your products around for a good long time :D

Awesome model, it's always nice to find a female sci-fi model that isn't "HeyBreasts!". It manages to get a good Farseer feel without being incredibly ostentatious. The only way the model could be better would be without a flock of people offering repetitive legal "advice" or expressing their shame, but really, can't be helped.

Looking forward to the other new releases!

Funny you mention breast... the original sculpt had D size breast... I asked the sculptor to tone it down a bit more to As maybe Bs.

Here is a preview for Mays' babe... (yeah I like girls).

'Doom of Malan'tai' is copyrighted, per p97 of Codex Tyranids.

I don't really know IP law so I couldn't say whether 'Malantai' would infringe that.

For what it's worth, I like seeing posts like this about new releases. GW, 3rd party, doesn't matter to me.

Just putting up a forum post instead of advertising hurts the bottom line for BoLs as well.

The model has movement which, to me, makes it a successful sculpt. The easiest way to look at two similar ideas that may have conflicting IP is to subtract the identical concepts. If you take everything away from the model that is not a concept GW invented then what are you left with?

Thread has a surprising lack of eldargal.

The female farseer is what she's been seeking for awhile now...

Very nice Scorpion exarch, btw---love the look of the chainsabres.

Now if only their rules didn't suck so much donkey wang...

Wish people would just get over themselves and stop finding ways to complain.
If Chapterhousestudios makes models that look/feel and have similar parts to GW miniatures so what. Are any one on this forum a GW employee?? Are GW making good looking mini's like this, are they filling in the much needed gap of bts and parts that so many of us look for??

I personnaly love there ability to work and make parts for much loved hobbies like 40k. I personnally bought parts for there Salamander Rhino/LR and dragon shields (storm shields) and lots of little parts that GW would never consider bothering with.
So here's a big thankyou for a small company of artists willing to do that for us. Now if you don't like them making parts or if you think GW is complaining about IP's well leave it to them ok. Im sure CHS know what it's doing here.
Should appreciate them for going the extra little bit and making these fantastic mini's for us, where some of us are awefull with Greenstuff, can't scult and wish GW would start making little conversion parts.
I have a freind drooling over your Doomseer and is greedily waiting your new Scorpion look-a-like.
Well Done...

Sodding awful hangover, sorry.

It is lovely, well worth the wait. Glad you found someone to do the paintjob so well, wish I'd been able to oblige on that one. Can't wait for the other female Warrior.

Can we please not bring up legal matters into this, this thread is not the place.

Sorry the head is integrated to the model, I suppose you could convert one on from the GW models.

Hmm I'm not too sold on this female doomseer.
It would be better if she had no helmet sculpt but that scorpion model looks awesome.

I think i would buy one just to paint it, i don't play Eldar (space elves) but love your work. Currently working on Eldar Shadow Spectres just to paint them.

How delicate are those pieces, I know FWs resin is very brittle compared to what we use, and all those flowing parts look like they would snap off easily.

Hm the arms look a little long, easy to remedy though (trim them, swap them). But I really like the subtle femininity of the torso.

Oh, and need more previews.:p

The resin/plastic used on the ShadowSpectres is actually flexible, not brittle at all. Which is great for all the ribbons not breaking.

Your sculpts are fantastic, makes me wish i played Eldar now.

Sounds like they changed materials, I know in the past it was very brittle and not much like plastic at all. Thanks for the kind words.

That is a very nice model, and while I sure don't want to bring up the legal stuff in this thread again, I just wanted to wish you and your company the best of luck. As another business owner striving for success in this hobby I always like to see what's new from other companies and talented artists, and I don't see anything negative about a little self-promotion. As long as it's not pop-ups and spam e-mail, it's actually inspiring.
