So I have made a pod but its kinda big... anyone have some ideas they wanna throw my way??? what to use to convert? what to use to make? the size? any feedback would help thanks!

Well, with easter coming up now is a great time to look out for small to medium sized egg shaped plastic eggs. These are great as a starter for ten and with a little green stuff and some odds and ends from your Tyranid bits box you should be able to model and very good Pod and then paint.

Keep a lookout......

One of the boys in my game group uses pinecones as a base, 'wasing' them in lots of layers of water playser to fill in the gaps while retaining the knobbly texture. Then he adds tendrils and orifices and whatnot with greenstuff and bits from his nids bits box. It forms a nice effect.

A guy at my gaming club uses those megablocks eggs. I think they're too small personally but he likes them...

well I used the FW tyranid spawning pools, cus they look tyranidy and cheaper than marine pods :p

The megabloks range includes TWO sizes of those eggs. There are larger ones that are suitable for a carnifex as well as the smaller ones pictured there (the small ones have an equivalent techno "drop pod" model (good for one-man assassin insertions). ).
