Working now and they look amazing kits especially the sphinx. Think they have watched the mummy a bit too much though.

Whats really important though is on those serpent riders info, read carefully it says that they are inter changeable with the rest of the range, is GW realising that space marines are not the only thing they produce and are sharing the customisation love to more than just marines.

so so cool! I want to get back into fantasy after stopping due to finance and vampire counts seemed way too samey! originally I wanted to do tomb kings but was set back with them being the oldest book, and too many times in the past have I begun an army only to find out a month later its getting new book or models! again so so cool! I love the crystal/jade effect on the sphynx

I'm buying some Sphinxes and I may even start an army, they are that fantastic. I was skeptical of the concept of snake riding skellingtons but they are really nice.

Lol, no.:p

I have High Elves, Empire and a few Dorfs and I'm still probably going to go TK as well.

I love the snakes, this woud seem to quash the rumours that Khemri were getting a new Skelly sprue like the VC did.

The potential for thousand sons conversions is fantastic

Thank you. I'll tell me the wifey that I have eldargals permission, so it's okay.

Though, to be fair, I only spent $125 bucks of my $500 allotment at Adepticon. That has to count for something, right?

Could you buy a Necropolis Knights box and use Sepuchral Stalker head, torsos and arms for Ushabti? Not sure what you'd use as the legs though - and I should admit that I don't play Tomb Kings so I don't know if the sizing of the 'Stalkers might be wrong for Ushabti.

Gorgeous figures regardless. I stopped playing undead when GW decided to get rid of Necromancer-led armies and have VCs and TKs only but this might get me playing Warhammer again.

Amazing stuff. Great models in their own right. If I can't do the army I'll definitely have to work some of these models into other projects, especially some conversions for 40K.

Necropolis Knights? C'mon I really didn't like that. In fact, it seems GW is really taking away from the TK's 'legions upon legions' of skeleton warriors.
Sure the sculpts seem nice (I really think the best of them, and the one that I think works best with the above mentioned theme are the Sepulchral Stalkers).

Also, is every army and their mother going to get a giant monster with a howdah on top?

I'll pass final judgment on this when the army book comes out, but TK were not supposed to be an army of monsters, they were undead already.

Hmm I like the Sphinx, but it would be even nicer if it has a female face and torso (with a missing eye) ...

The stalkers look like a better version of the necron ones.

The Snake-Surfers are - not my kind of look n feel. Wood Elves standing on big birds are even silly. I donīt like this concept.

oh ushabti in plastic - i would buy some even i donīt play undead

As a Tzeentch/Slaanesh Chaos Daemons player who loves kitbashing, these models get me way too excited.

I might have to start a Thousand Sons CSM army just to put these models in it . . .

No denying the great sculpts and conversion possibilities. I can see lots of Tzeentch possibilities (don't really like the other chaos gods that much) and perhaps Slannesh for Warriors of Chaos as well, of which I've got a small force in the works.

By the way Lerra, your avatar is fantastic, one of the better characters from possibly the best RPG ever made.

Not so, sphinxes and large bone constructs were mentioned in the previous book and were present in Warmaster.

Oh, and it is possible basic skellingtons will get a new kit in a second wave, bu don't get your hopes up.

Most interesting, for me, bit of information in that GW News Article is the bit about the "Lore of Nehekara." No more incantations? Straight up magic now? Yes, it certainly seems that way.

Definitely getting one of these as a second thousand sons dreadknight for my counts as grey knights army.

Overall, I give the following scores for the models:

Sphinx: 9/10 another great multipart plastic kit, only the howdah feels a little weak
Knights/stalkers: 7/10 not so keen on these, but points for flexibility in terms of what the kit can make. Too expensive IMHO.
Tomb guard: 8/10 Love the more detailed shields, but the heads are only OK, not fantastic.

The main thing that's missing for me are replacements for those old skeletal steeds.

Probably the best miniatures from GW iv seen in about seven years. Seriously. I love them that much, the Sepulchral Stalkers are my favourite - it's nice to see some actual imagination put into their designs and models too - which seems a rarity these days IMO.

I'd love to buy a few sets of the snakes and 1 of the sphinx's but sadly they are far too expensive for me (even with the discounts on other sites) so ill have to go without myself.

EIther way, props to GW - beautiful and imaginative models!

Holy crap! I very much like these models. I could do without the things riding in baskets on weird beasts trend in WFB, but otherwise these models look awesome. These are very exciting. If there's one thing Games Workshop does well, it's producing cool new model kits.

I love the details, the overall aesthetic is appealing to me, I think the interchangeability is great. I can't wait to see these guys on the sprue. I have yet to dip into WFB, but I was considering either Lizardmen or Tomb Kings. If I do go into WFB, I think it's going to be Tomb Kings. I prefer skeletons in true scale, but these are still nice. I like that the equipment has enough detail that you can easily pick it out with some vivid colors to make an army of otherwise skeletal guys visually interesting. I'd like to see some of these models with a more aged, weathered look to them. Hello verdigris.

"With unstoppable force, the Warsphinx can crash down upon enemy units, pulping bones and splintering organs."

Splintering organs? Not only is that an odd phrase in and of itself, but it is even more strikingly weird next to a phrase about breaking bones. I would at least think that it would be "splintering bones and pulping organs." Maybe it could be "splattering organs?" I guess the Warsphinx is so friggin powerful and unstoppable that its strikes even defy physics, shattering otherwise squishy, fluid-filled organs as if they were frozen by liquid nitrogen, sending shards of intestine like grisly shrapnel into the eyes of those lucky enough to be spared the initial onslaught.

Well Cruddace was saying (go go paraphrase) "we were working on it, and at their core a Liche Priest is a Wizard" So yeah, sounds like we're using the power pool for more than just items.

The Tomb Kings Battalion currently has a $50 US price break on it based on current prices of the individual box sets it comprises. However, it is discontinued. The new Battalion is $120 and has 8 more Skeleton Warriors in it. Prices of the individual skeleton troop boxes are also changing. The boxes are apparently being split to contain half as many models. Not sure of the price yet, but it seems certain the price per model will be higher than on the current $35 boxes. If you are thinking of starting Tomb Kings or know someone who is tell them to snap up all the existing product they can find.
