Ok so a few titbits from The ForgeWorld open day:

The Tamurkhan book is oing to be a one off, not a 4 book series. It seems to be larger though with a Chaos Dwarf army list, lots of Empire bits etcetera.

The next book will be Bretonnians and Tomb Kings.

Trish Morrisons yet unrelease ober-dragon is going to be released with a female Empire sorceress rider (huzzah, if true)

Chaos Dorfs get a Taurus special character and animated armour/constructs.

I'll post more/pictures later when I've slept or atleat ot a sugar high or something.

Dissapointed to hear that they are not doing a book for each of the chaos gods :(

I'm not.:) Chaos bores me, I thought the idea of Chaos vs Empire, Chaos vs ???, Chaos vs ??? and Chaos vs ??? would mean Chaos would be to WarForge what IG is to ForgeWorld. Chaos will get plenty of love I'm sure, plus we get more vareity, things like Tomb Kings vs Bretonnia. I don't even collect those armies and I find the concept fantastic.

Oh more things due out at the end of April, including an Empire State Troops conversion kit which apparently means you can double the amount of troops you get from a plastic box.

Some news re Chaos Dorfs:

Some info on the upcoming Chaos Dwarf Army Book.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tamurkhan is due out in July 2011. The Chaos Dwarfs were primairliy designed to be used as a contingent to add to the Warrior's of Chaos army, however the book contains a FULL playable Chaos Dwarf Army List with many options and upgrades.

The new Chaos Dwarf infantry (Infernal Guard) are Chaos Dwarf Slaves that are forced to wear the full suit of armour and full face helmet before being unleashed on the Chaos Dwarfs enemies. The champion has no full face helmet which is a reward from his captors.

Most of the warmachines had two pages of rules/background/stats etc some of this stuff is going to be complicated to use. The Warsmiths also had a huge amount of original rules and exciting options.

Warmachines can be connected to form a seige train, however it costs a ton of points and won't be used unless you are playing 'ard boy lists (3000+pts).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways that is it for now. If you got a chance to check out the book at open day or know of more confirmed entries please add them to this thread.

I like the news about TK and Brets being the next set of stuff they work on. I also like the confirmation about Chaos not being in every one of the first releases, although I do hope they do visit all the gods, well I really only want Tzeentch stuff as the others kinda boor me.

Unless I am incredibly mistaken, it looks like their is some Skaven stuff there as well, something that looks very much like a horned rat. Perhaps a new, solely Warhammer Forge Vermin Lord?

My Fantasy army is a fledgling Dwarf force... but I may need to pick up some Chaos Dwarves to fill in... they look pretty awesome.
