Here are picks of my Black Templar Fortress of Redemption. I used some bits from the BT pack and used plasticard for the BT cross covering the missiles.

Very nice piece, certainly looks to have turned out well. I did much the same thing on my own Fortress of Redemption for my Void Ravens chapter. The feeling of, "bah, Dark Angels!" was strong.

Did you find the kit to be really enjoyable to put together? I can honestly say I've never had more fun working on any other model. The Fortress was just great to clip out and put together, although the tower plinth didn't fit together quite right, I had to bend and file a bit on that. But other than that it was so much fun.

I did like the piece and it has some great details, but as you pointed out, I did have to file and sand some of the pieces to make them fit. One nit are with the heavy bolters. I accidently dropped one of the pieces and the bolter kept falling off afterwards. I had to pin it to make sure it would stay. GW should have made it so that so that it had a pin. Anyway, I just finished the fantasy Dreadstone Blight and loved that model because I didn't have to do much because everything was clipped and I only had to do some minor sanding. I hope some of their newer 40k terrain pieces are done in the same manner. I will try to post some pics of the tower in the fantasy thread.

I pinned the bolters and lights to start so that they would rotate since I figured that would be cooler than just gluing them on. I'm mixed on the pre-clipped bitz, certainly does reduce production time, but I can't say I didn't enjoy clipping out the Fortress. Whatever happens, I'll just work with what I get regardless. Best way of handling it I can think of.

Great job. If it were me I'd add some text on the scroll work around the sword on the tower, but that would be my only criticism. Really like the Templar Cross on the missile silo

I will be so bold as what you should paint on your banners...
