Rubric Terminators?

Sorry to dash the hopes of anyone wanting to see some Rubric Terminators, but I need a bit of help - how would you go about actually making them? I think the pictures they have of them in the Apocalypse Datasheet look kinda wonky...Thousand Sons heads on a Terminator body just doesn't sound too cool, so how would you guys go about making them? I was considering using the Chaos Terminator Lord/Sorceror Lord kit as a base because it has two different tabards, and is a bit more ornate than the regular terminator squad - fitting, I should think. But the helms are what I'm stuck on - I want them to look decidedly post-heresy, as cool as the preheresy helms are.

Suggestions?

A friend of mine made some that look good, i cant remember all the bits he used but the heads were made from the normal thousand sons heads with the face areas cut off and the front half of the terminator heads attached, it has been a long time since i have seen them, as when the chaos book was changed it removed alot of the options he had put on them i think.

I remember seeing some based on grey knight terminators which should be possible now that they are plastic.

Hey, plastic GK terminators aren't a bad idea, didn't even think about that...then I get to give my guys halberds, which reinforces the idea of Rubric Marines being a Sorceror's "Dread Guardians" in my opinion. Are the GK Terminators in line with the Chaos Terminators in terms of shoulder-pad size?

hpwever how about getting some TS heads and putting them on gK termies? and giving them pre heresy shoulders

remember chaos marines get armour from

1) the same stuf theve been wearing for 10,000 years
2) theyve nicked stuff (TS are just dust so they cant do that)
3) dark mechanicus have made them a new suit

so actually the gW regular CSM kits are anti-fluff :P

i remember quite a few years back on the old website the conversion clinic did a thousand son terminator out of a grey knight terminator.

if you don't have the terminators yet, you could always buy and convert the new plastic ones to look like the pic above. otherwise i would convert them similarly to how people convert Khorne berserker terminators (with the head dress resting on the armour "hood").

I tried tried to use that but gave up after the 12th archive file.

also the complete kit was £20 for one terminator. :eek:
