Vostroyans and Steel Legion (in warm neutrals)

Here are a few minis that I painted for a client a little while ago. The color schemes are based largely on historical references.

There is something awesome about the Vostroyans' appearance, but the color choice is toning them down. You have your reasons for the color choice, but the classic red and gold just works better for me.

The Steel Legion, on the other hand, look great. The drab colors really work for the models. The subdued hazard stripes on the chain sword are perfect.

I really like the vostroyans, they look like a real napoleonic era force.I just don't think the red works for the bearskins
