Okay, so I'm just going to keep a running log now. Here's first up. These are PW Grey Knights for a local store:

They're okay. I'm not enamored by them, but it only took a lil less than an hour per marine, so I guess that's all. Picture's a bit dark, but you get the idea.

Yeah, I think the new models are awesome, and that's a nice clean paintjob.

Incidentally, something that looks really cool is to paint all the GK runes glowing white/blue. Paint them ice blue, let some watered down dark blue into the crevices and then drybrush the letters white. Combined with glowing blue eyes it looks really cool.

Yep, you're right. Must have missed that one when I was shaving. C'est La Vie.

Tynksel-- Thanks. They look good tabletop; I wasn't fishing or anything, I'm just not too blow away by them because of the coloring of the silver. The spray I used to base them sucked up my glazes too much in some places, so that was irritating. I really used these models to work on my reds & whites, and my glow techniques (the GK eyes in particular). I'm actually happy with those aspects.

When the special toons come out, I'll probably end up playing a bit more with some blue/purple glazes for the armour. For these stock dudes, I wasn't going to mess around with it.

Don't get me wrong; all in all I'm happy with them, particularly since the time frame was short, and they're for my local store--I'm just never super happy with my metallics.
