Hi there
just wondering if anyone has had a chance to get a good read of the new grey knight codex,
have never played the army before but thinking of starting an imperial guard army
anyway was wondering if anyone could clue me in on the rules for allies between these armies or if they
still exist?
for example could I make a grey knight army with imperial guard allies like some lemans or a platoon?

thanks for any help :)

There is no Inducted Imperial Guard rule any more.

Not surprising really. Nobody expected it to appear in the new codex.

No, the allies rules from the Demonhunters book doesn't exist in the Grey Knights codex.

Remember there is nothing stopping you from picking up the old codex and using it in friendly games. 'with the opponents permission of course'

Although there are no ally rules in the 'dex, keep in mind that there's a highly customizable "Henchmen" option which is veryyy similar to Guard if you only take the standard Acolyte options, and they can become troops with the right HQ. You could use your guard miniatures with those rules until you have enough to play them as an independent army.

Remember there is nothing stopping you from combining two armies into one in friendly games just make sure that your oponent is happy with doing so
