Eh. I'd go with the second one if I had to choose.

I wouldn't mix foot elements with drop pods, especially not highly expensive T-Wolf Cav units with some pods that piecemeal in.

I would personally take list one. Loganwing is a very specific list that doesn't seem to be what your play style from list one is going for.

As for how to go about improving list one, I would drop the Long Fangs in order to add more drop podding troops and/or WG with combi-weapons.

Yes, drop the LF's. Heresy, I know, but let me explain.

Since they are smaller squads with no transport, they do one thing very very well. That us set up in a single place (hopefully in cover) and shoot. However, this leaves them exposed to having their firing lanes blocked, as well as leaves them vulnerable to things like DS'ing Terminators, Storm Troopers, fast transports full of nasties, etc. They really cannot keep up with or move like the rest of the army can. There also is really way to defend them, due to how "in your face" the rest of this list is.

You make up for their loss by adding more DP'ing melta (drop podding, mind out of the gutter :D) You could add a whole 'nother troops squad with WG, identical to your others, as well as another pod with 4 WG w/ 4 combi-weapons of your choice. Nets you a fourth DP on turn one, which should allow you to reliably bust at least 3 transports in your first round, screen your wolves with some more cover, and keep everything in your opponents face without having to worry about units in your backfield being lit up.
