best way to convert mega nobs?

so i really like the mega nobs. i also like the model that gw has released, but i dont really like paying 20 bucks for a single metal model. so i'm try to figure out a cheap, and hopefully plastic, way to convert them.
i was thinking about combining the nobs box and the black orks box from fantasy. orks with (storm) shields would be pretty cool.

but either way, let me know if you have any ideas.

I combined Nobz with various sentinel/warbike/loota bits from my box. You want to bolt on extra armour and some exhaust pipes/engine parts so that the thing looks powered.

The black orc full helmets are popular too but I used these for my ard boyz.

I just used black reach termies combined with regular nobz.

Terminator Legs + Nobz Bodies, arms & head + Terminator Backpack

Then just mix and match bits to make them look bulky.

how about building a plasticard box then adding a ork jawplate and glueing legs+arms on then bulk them out with plasticard

you could always look at other game systems for good models. Like Ogryns, 22.25 ea. from GW. the warmachine Ogruns are way way way cheaper and are same model and base size as gw's. it doesn't hurt to look at what other systems have, you never know what you may find. :)

Just like blackarmchair, I built some mega nobz out of marine terminators and some orky bitz laying around, they came out well for an ork :D I just call em my looted nobz.
