this was me dipping my toe into the 28mm scene with this gothic style bunker complex the big gun on the roof is detachable as is the roof to give access to the interior

I don't really like the gun turret to be honest. Bit too Tau looking. The rest of the bunker though... fantastic! I love the little gothic details all over it. Just needs an Aquilla or two and it'd be perfect. Or Chaos icons if that's your thing :P

I want one. That looks so much cooler than the bastion kit.

thanks very much for the comments the intention was always to cast this if i ever get around to it lol as for the gun well i wanted it to resemble the turret guns from dawn of war but with a bit of extra punch.if you lot are interested i could post the wip photos showing how its done?;)

O.o

The turret looks like something out of maybe Battletech. Make it look a little more like an Interceptor gun and you're gonna make a great piece beat out a GW kit :D:D:D

okay wip log it is then
the bas is set about aninch in thickness to make the bastions then the wall is built up on top and braced internally with plasticard uprights
http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/Photo0922.jpg

i then start to do the fire ports and pillars which will support the roof section and insert into the rear walls
http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/Photo0921.jpg

the detailing is just plasticard shaped then supa glued in place (save the fine dust shavings as they can be used with supa glue to fill and file any gaps)
http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/Photo0919.jpg

heres the boxed section fire ports again detailed by gluing on bits of card (offcuts, no wastage)

So did you make that gun from scratch too? I don't doubt you could but the pesimist inside me has to ask.

Your plasticard-fu is astonishing. What are you using for the rivets?

W00f! W00f! That's one handsome bunker there, mate! True, the turret does remind me of something from Ghost In The Shell but it's pretty damned good-looking!

most of it would do better with two part molds in resin, at least from my experience with casting.
