Hi all, Ive never been quite able to decipher hot this spell works, as I understand it, the spell is cast, in the subsequent magic phase the casting wizard rolls a die, on a 1-3 the str and range is increased next magic phase, on a 4-6 the comet hits, question is: after it hits, is the spell over? or does the comet remain and the casting wizard gets to roll again next magic phase?

hopefully I explained myself well enough for someone to able to clarify...

I've not had a look at the 8th edition version of the laws of magic, but in previous editions the spell is considered to have ended when the comet hits. I can't imagine them changing that.

Yea, once the comet hits the spell is over. You can cast it again next turn if you like but the moment the comet hits the spell is effectively done. I would know, got smacked by three comets my last fantasy match by one pissed off Slann

actually, now it has become a huge screwup because it has been 24hrs and the mods haven't moved it yet!!!

maybe we should demand the comet to be a new psychic power in 40k?

judging GWs knowledge of psyker-fluff on the SW codex I'd assume the world eaters will get that super spell! :P
