It just occured to me while reading the SW codex section on the First War for Armageddon. With the introduction of the new and insanely powerful units in the Grey Knights codex, the fluff may have to be retconned a bit. Short of Assassins, GK termies used to be the most powerful warriors the Imperium could field and the fact that 100 of the dudes were dispatched to take out Angron and his Bloodthirster retinue was supposed to be awe inspiring. But with the introduction of the Paladins, the Death Knight and the like and bumping termies to a troops choice, it seems that they just sent the B-string guys to take out Khorne's greatest champion. Thoughts anyone, any other battles you can think of that will require a bit of rewriting?

It does say "100 Terminator-Armored [dudemen]"... I think Paladins are technically wearing Terminator armor (although obviously I haven't read the GK book). The fluff could easily still fit.

I think you Would be pretty safe assuming they were paladins.

This is correct. The fluff in the leaked draft scan is really cool. Lots of good, fun info, and that's jus in the characters.

That fluff was first written back when there were no power armored GK's - only terminators - so in a weird way, it would have come full circle with 100 termies-as-troops.

That piece of fluff about the 100 terminators was written from the space wolves perspective. As the Grey Knights are a highly secretive order apparently, the Space wolves probably wouldn't be aware of the difference in rank between paladins and other battle brothers in terminator armor.
