Apparently in the works for over a year.
Hiring is in full swing, and Rick Priestley himself is at the helm.
Expect to see product flowing for Fantasy within 6 months.
Chaos Dwarfs are coming but exact scheduling for them is unknown.

Does that mean all the WFB terrain on forgeworld and the daemons will be removed from the site and put on this new site?

Do we have any indication of the deliver method for product? Is this going to be something we have to order direct or are they going to ship to stores?
If the second, awesome... If the first... CRAP.

I don't know. This seems like a good thing but since its sister to Forge World, i think that it would be same shipping as forgeworld.

You're probably going to have to order the products if it's a sister company to forgeworld. Or you can get them at games days and i'm told there is a forgeworld order point at warhammer world here in the UK.
I honestly don't care how I get them so long as there are good elf miniatures!

ha, so I must be really tired, when I read the OP I thought it was a "sister's company" as in sisters of sigmar or something similar. but I am excited about FW elf models. There are too few good WFB minis, but there are some awesome ones too, but anyways I'm excited!

Because Forgeworld for 40k doesn't eat enough of my money...

<---------------- Super excited. I should buy some stock in their company... although then I'd have less money to spend on their products.

HOORAY! I guess. Its not like having a sister store would do any harm. I just want a forge world closer to Australia so I dont pay as much shipping.

I'm definitely looking forward to what can come out of this!

This might either be awesome or just crap. Betting that their first real "big release" will be Chaos Dwarfs has very low odds. Its gonna be very interesting to see how they manage to solve balance issues and other things. One thing is for sure though: This might lead to more army books faster, and thats a win:D

Ditto. But I'm interested to see what they will put out.

what its going to be called though?
I can't think of a name (yet) but I bet it is something to do with dwarfs as they are the masters at that sort of thing.
All these metal special choices will finally be easier to assemble:) (maybe not collect:()
No more mono-pose:D.

So did anyone thing to ask any of the Dev types at GDUK about the work progressing to FFW? I have been looking though all the GD threads that I can find across various forums and have yet to see anything.

Yea, War-World does have an order point, although its silly, they could just open the window and shout.
(for those who dont know, the location at Warhammer World contains the museum, bugmans, the play area, the shop, and the buildings around it are the factory, forge world, white dwarf, and heavy metal studio.)

This is great news! I'm mainly a WFB builder/painter and I cannot wait to see what FW does for the range.

I just finished painting my Ultramarine Venerable, and I have to say it was worth the cost for such an excellent model. Now that I'm starting Fantasy again I'll be on the look out for FW's new Fantasy lines. Skaven in particular.
