BA Honor Guard Chapter Banner

Does an honor guard have to give up a weapon to carry the chapter banner. "One Honor Guard can carry either.." is the way the entry describes it and it's separate from the weapons entries.
I am putting together a tournament list and I want to just mount the chapter banner on the back of one of my honor guard so he can carry epic weapons of doom.

no, it does not "replace" a weapon. You still get normal weapons, w/ or w/o the banner.

Even if you did lose a weapon, WYSIWYG wouldn't require you to have the banner in the model's hand. So long as you have a banner on the model, it's WYSIWYG, so a backpack banner would be fine.

It also looks so much better than the older honor guard banner...
