Loken over at Apocalypse40k.com was the man behind organizing a worldwide Apocalypse event on the 22nd of January - The Big Game. There is tons of information about it over at his site and blog, with lots of cool pictures - as well as an interview with Loken on the latest episode of 40kradio.

I ran into Loken in the UK last year, and he recruited me for the event - so I went back to Norway to organize a game with my local club. We eneded up with ten guys playing a total of 28.000pts over a 8' x 8' gameboard - not much in comparison to the stuff going on over in LA, but a new record for us! It was a tight game, and the Imperials snuck away with a 1-point victory after 5 turns.

We kept our standards for the hobby and the narrative reasonably high, which I believe went a long way in making the game as much fun as it was. Of course, lots of good food and drink - and great company - helped too! ;)

Look at him go! Those are my favorite stories-- where one guy takes on redonkulous odds, and comes out on top. That's what Warhammer is allllll about.

not only do I like the terrain, but I love how you guys covered the board in it!

Some of those models are superbly done too!
