can a squadron of vehicles shoot at different targets?? cant find in the rule book where it says you cant. bit of a lame question but can someone answer this for me.

At work, rule book 2 miles away. So canny be giving you a reference...but hopefully someone else can

Just saying that they have to fire at the same target is the way we've always played it

A squadron is a unit of vehicles. A unit, by default, cannot split its fire. Thus, a squadron cannot split its fire unless it has special rules allowing it to do so.

And just for the ref.
Rulebook p64:
...a squadron of vehicles fires all of it's available weaponry at a single enemy unit.

Also they can see and shoot through members of their own unit just like regular models.


It would seem that when in vehicle squadrons you must indeed fire all of your weapons. So you can't choose to only shoot the lascannon, etc.
