Magnetizing a Defiler?

Anyone out there have, or know of, a good guide to magnetizing a defiler? More specifically the torso to the engine/legs part and weapons as well (ideally). My google-fu must be weak because I'm not getting much, and what I do get is not a guide or terribly helpful.

I filled the bottom of the lower torso up with plastic card and sprue until the depth was the right for the magnet and metal washer to rest within the torso out of view when connected. When looking back I should of used a flat head nail and pinned that into the upper torso as it would of given it a bit more strength.
