pastels

Has anyone used pastels for weathering? If so please let me know how it worked out.

yeah i have used black and greys on my thunderhawk gunship to represent the sorching on entering an atomosphere ....

i ground a bit down to a powder like state then with a makeup eye shadow appyer thing put it on the model...

it was easy to over do it but make sure to have plenty of shade of what colour your gonna use to give depth
